"Alaska Mountain Guides & Climbing School, Inc. (AMG) has teamed up with Alta Ski Area to offer outstanding mountaineering trips, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing and avalanche courses in Alta, Utah.
Guests can join daily departures of lift accessed backcountry skiing, guided ice climbing, or mountaineering courses. Most trips depart daily at 9:00 am. Call us or come visit our office under the Albion Grill, slope side at Alta Ski Area.
In addition to these programs we also work closely with the International Wilderness Leadership School (IWLS) and Alaska Mountain Guides International Inc. (AMGI)
IWLS is a division of AMG and offers the highest level of technical skills training and outdoor leadership programs for university credit around the globe. The IWLS award winning programs are recognized by over 2 dozen universities and high schools.
AMGI is recognized as a global leader in the operation of international climbing, trekking, sea kayaking and cultural exploration expeditions on all seven continents
